New development in downtown Wayne

The new development will have 23 units, with a mix of one and two bedrooms and retail space in the bottom.

If you’ve driven down W. Michigan Ave lately you probably have noticed some construction across from Books on the Ave and Karma Coffee.
The construction is for apartments coming to Wayne!
The development will have 23 units, with a mix of one and two bedrooms. The lower level will have five retail tenants that are to be determined.
There is no expected completion date yet, and price has not yet been determined.
“Having a new development like this with apartments above retail is going to create a destination for people to live in our downtown and fulfills the mission of our downtown plan,” said Lori Gouin, Wayne Downtown Development Authority Director.
If you have any questions regarding the apartments, be sure to check the front of the building for a sign to go up that they’re leasing.
