City Manager Joe Merucci Resigns

In a 7-0 vote city council accepted the resignation of Joseph Merucci, effective October 11, 2014 and approved his request for a personal leave of absence with pay and benefits, effective immediately through the date of his resignation.

Council also voted to appoint Police Chief Jason Wright as Acting City Manager.

Mayor Al Haidous said Merucci has a personal matter and “he has requested a 30-day leave of absence and his resignation and council has accepted it.”
