Makers Market to open in Downtown Wayne
By Sarah Shurge – Are you a maker in the community that is looking to expand your business outside of your home? Are you looking for a fun and safe one-stop shop opportunity to connect with current and future customers?
If you answered yes to either of those questions, then there is an opportunity coming to Wayne for you.
The City of Wayne Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is opening Wayne’s first Makers Market on November 4th.
The Market is located at 34852 W. Michigan Avenue.
The 3,000 square-foot retail space is being converted into multiple 10×10 foot spaces, which will be made available to individuals for a reasonable monthly fee.
The Market will be open every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Individuals will be responsible for staffing their booth during Market hours.
The DDA is specifically seeking businesses that design, create, and sell handmade crafts or works of art.
If this is you and you are interested in reserving a spot at the Makers Market, contact Lori Gouin, City of Wayne DDA Director, at (734)722-2002 or by email at lgouin@cityofwayne.com.
