Police Department to host monthly meetings

Wayne Police Chief Al Maciag and his department will begin hosting monthly meetings to hear concerns of the residents and business owners. The first meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, at the Wayne Activity and Banquet Center located at 35000 Sims Avenue, Wayne, Michigan 48184.
“It is my goal that these meetings will provide the community with an opportunity to ask questions or discuss concerns they may have with the Wayne Police Department. We also want to discuss ways we can work together to keep the homes and businesses in Wayne safe,” said Police Chief Al Maciag.
The department will also provide an overview of current operations as well as recent crime trends and other valuable information.
“The feedback that we receive from these meetings is tremendously important in helping us to improve upon the work the department does on behalf of our residents and businesses. We look forward to a high level of participation,” said Maciag.
