Strong Arm Robberies (Westwick Square and Attwood Park)
The Wayne Police Department is currently investigating four robberies that occurred in the City of Wayne. Three of the incidents occurred in the Westwick Square Cooperative, located near Annapolis and Venoy Road. The other occurred near Attwood Park, located at 4901 Howe Road. Two incidents occurred on Sunday, May 3rd and two incidents on Wednesday, May 6th. All the incidents occurred in the evening hours. In these incidents, the victims were approached by a large group of male subjects who demanded property. Three of the victims were assaulted by the subjects and property was taken from them. One victim voluntarily gave property to the subjects. In several of these incidents, the victims were approached from behind and knocked to the ground and their property was taken. No weapons were used or reported in these incidents. These incidents are believed to be related.
The group of subjects involved in these incidents are described as black males between the ages of eighteen and twenty. A silver Chevrolet Cavalier or Cobalt may be involved in these incidents.

In the same neighborhood we have a problem with car thefts to. My car was stolen along with 5 other I know of last winter. I’m sure its the same group of punks, just a change of crime.
