Wayne Memorial High School student athletes of the month

Victoria Ley is captain of the Varsity Volleyball team and was first librero, a defensive specialist position, this season. Victoria comes to practice every day ready to work with a positive mindset. As a supportive team captain, she is always rooting on her teammates and helping them out both on and off the court. A positive role model as a captain, she leads practice with a positive attitude and is always ready to work.

Nicolas Figueroa was the third runner throughout September for the Boys Cross Country team. A leader by example, he has a 4.0 GPA, is involved in Student Senate, and is a great example on the team. He is praised as a great student-athlete to have representing Boys Cross Country and Wayne Memorial High School.
