Back to school again
It's already that time of year
where summer comes to an end,
teachers prepare for the upcoming
school year, and students head back
to class.
Schools throughout the Wayne-
Westland Community School District
(WWCSD) had Open House before
the last weekend of the month. Stu-
dents along with their parents at-
tended to figure out their schedules,
meet the teachers, and find their
lockers.
For some students, with virtual
learning last year, it was their first
time stepping foot into the schools.
The first day of school was Mon-
day, August 30th.
The elementary students had a
half-day of school, while the middle
and high school students had a full
day of school.
Last school year, due to COVID-
19, Wayne Memorial did virtual
classes until March 1st. Then the
school switched to two hybrid
groups, group A and group B. Group Students on the first day of school.
