Students plant
trees for Arbor Day
Taft-Galloway Elementary School third grade students
from Amy Morse, Laurie Strueve and Amy Thorner’s
classes present their Arbor Day program to family,
friends and city officials on Friday, April 26, 2024, in
Avondale Park in Wayne. Partnering with the City of
Wayne’s Department of Public Works, the students
show their appreciation for nature by planting two lovely
Red Bud trees on the east side of the park. The students
look forward to watching the trees grow and change in
the years to come knowing they are helping the city to
be a healthier more beautiful place. The celebration con-
tinued with some fun, playing on the playground equip-
ment. Many thanks to organizers and attendees for
